I prefer carrying the iPad in this than not, but you do lose some of the enjoyable of spinning the iPad around, the cover forces you to interact with the iPad a specific way, far more "book-like" than I assume it will need to feel.
That is what placing a cover on it will do will do.
It is a excellent product. Just not wonderful.

It really is a good case and enables for the iPad to be propped up at completely different angles on flat surface for viewing (touching the screen without having holding it at upright angles will knock it over unless you're rather gentle). The case is quite sleek searching and fashionable, but the rubber it is created out of is incredibly rough on your skin. The edges are specially rough and will sooner or later make it uncomfortable to hold considering that it will start off to wear away and cut into your skin.
